These guards can be fixed or portable and are raised and lowered manually and can be locked in the down position. They are made of steel and come in different colors.
Chains are an easy way to block some one from entering, but can be dangerous because some one usually runs into them an bends what ever you have holding them, and you could be liable for damages.
  Cones or Saw Horses with signs hanging on them look temporary and out of place.
Our Crossing Guards mean business, and they look nice. when people see them in the down position it looks serious,  like a train crossing, and in the raised position people know what that means.
